Description


Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.

Where: Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass.

When: Tonight into Monday.

Remarks: A Pacific frontal system will give snow heavy at times to Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass. Light snow from the front will intensify this evening and will persist through Monday. Before the snow eases late tomorrow, total snow accumulation of 15 to 25 cm is possible near Kootenay Pass, with lesser amounts expected over Paulson Summit.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
