While there are uncertainties exactly where, aswath of 2 to 5 inches of rain may fall within 3 to 6 hourssomewhere over northern Illinois tonight primarily along andnorthwest of Interstate 55.Despite the ongoing drought and resultant low stream flow and belowaverage soil moisture, rainfall in excess of 2 inches mayresult in flooding, particularly of low lying and flood proneareas.Very heavy rainfall and flooding are possible, but not yetcertain.
