Dry days for southern Ontario, storm risks for the north-east

Dry week for southern Ontario with a few non-severe thunderstorm risks for the north-east areas of the province.

The remnants from Tropical Storm Isaias will be absorbed in the upper-level trough, meaning there will be a lot less storm energy in southern Ontario on Wednesday. There could be some non-severe thunderstorms in north-east Ontario. The week should continue dry and will increase in temperature as it progresses. More details, below.

WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Dry conditions starting Wednesday for southern Ontario

  • Thunderstorm risks for north-east Ontario on Wednesday

  • Temperatures rise for the weekend

  • Keep an eye on weather ALERTS in your area

WEDNESDAY AND BEYOND: DRY WEEK FOR MANY WITH COOLER TEMPERATURES

As Isaias continues to move north into Quebec Wednesday, the rain should finish up in Ontario, and in fact, the humidity of the past few days will subside in its wake.

The only risk for thunderstorms in the province is isolated to the north-east areas of the province.

NE-ON

Temperatures look to be stable for the majority of the week, with most days in the mid-to-high 20s, but feeling little warmer than that with the reduced humidity -- much more comfortable for people who may be fed up with these prolonged humid stretches.

Wednesday temperatures

For those who thrive on the humidity, however, keep your eyes on the following weekend: temperatures look to creep up to the high 20s by Saturday, accompanied by humidex values in the low 30s.
