Potentially significant rainfall amounts are expected over the weekend.

Amounts of 20 to 40 mm are generally forecast. However, scattered thunderstorms are expected to accompany the rain and could boost precipitation amounts beyond 50 millimetres in a few locations over Southern and Central Quebec.

Timing: Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening.

Significant ponding of water may occur on roads and inland. Rain could also increase the flow and level of some streams and rivers.
